Our Story
Just south of Aberdeen the Groat family have been working the land for generations and at the humble beginning milking just 6 cows by hand. The family have always been big cheese lovers and cheesemaking has always been in our family history. Having been looking for a new adventure cheesemaking was an obvious choice so The Devenick Dairy was born in 2006.
We have come a long way since we started. Cheese flavours and varieties have taken time to develop into today’s wide range of cheeses with unique tastes and aromas. Over time we have introduced a range of other products which we hope you will enjoy today.
Farm Shop with a fantastic range of funky and very tasty food, plus cheese all made on the farm.
Cafe with real homemade food made using our own produce from the farm and local suppliers. If you fancy a sweet treat we have a range of tray bakes homemade scones and a fantastic afternoon tea served on a quirky picnic bench.
Mini Farm with a selection of animals from baby piglets, lambs, young calves, goats and more.
Soft Play to allow your 1- 6 year olds to burn off some energy whilst you have a coffee.
Fresh Meat Butchery counter with a full range of meat from the farm and a viewing gallery as the butcher does his work.
Milking Live, watch the cows get milked every day from 4 pm. During the rest of the day see them grazing in the fields.
