The Story So Far...
The Groat family originally came from Copinsay, a small Island just off the
east coast of Main Land Orkney. Sinclair moved down to Bishopston Farm, Banchory-Devenick,
over 50 years ago where he started the dairy farm with just 5 milking cows.
The Farm has moved on a bit since then and has increased its land acreage and number
of cows. Over the years we have also achieved success at several different farming
events such as Champion at the Royal Highland Show, Supreme
Champion at several Local Shows and Best Silage Competition (2008).

Spring is here, so its flat out every time there is a dry 2 or 3 days. Ploughing, rolling, spreading fertiliser & muck. So its all going on, the cows are getting excited now as they can smell the grass starting to grow |
